The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smartphone is now the first smartphone to use a Bluetooth-enabled headset built for the ultra-thin-and-light device.
The company’s Galaxy Note 5 has the same technology and also uses a similar headset.
The headset is now available for purchase in a range of colours and can be ordered online.
Samsung launched the headset in the US on October 31st, and it was already available in Japan on October 30th.
However, the new headset will only work with Android smartphones.
The Gear VR headset is also now available in the UK, Germany, Spain and France.
A Samsung representative told the Guardian it was aware of the problems and would offer refunds to customers who had problems with the headset.
“We are working with Samsung to resolve these issues, and will offer a refund to anyone who purchased the headset online,” the representative said.
“The headset works with a range in sizes from small to large, so we can fit most people in.”
However, there are still some challenges with the device.
“There is a small problem with the headphone jack on the Note 5, but this is a common issue with headsets, so it is a minor issue,” a Samsung spokesperson told The Guardian.
The Samsung Gear VR is not compatible with the Oculus Rift, as Oculus VR’s own website explains, and Samsung has not yet responded to requests for comment.
Google is expected to announce its own headset at the Google I/O developer conference in June.
